South College has opened its first campus in Ohio, bringing the higher education institution’s presence to 10 cities and 11 physical campuses nationwide, plus Online and Competency-Based Education (CBE) offerings.

The Columbus campus is located at 5525 Parkcenter Circle with an expansion planned by early 2027. Administrators will assist applicants with enrollment immediately to pursue completion of prerequisite classes for available programs that begin in October 2026 as South College continues its mission to provide accessible, high-quality education to communities across the country.

South College Columbus will offer a range of healthcare-focused degree and diploma programs designed to meet the needs of students and the growing demand for skilled professionals in the region. Scott Teffeteller, FACHE, MBA, will lead the campus as its new president. Teffeteller brings more than 30 years of experience as a healthcare executive, including serving as CEO of an expansive healthcare network.

The population of the central Ohio region is expected to grow by 30% over the next 25 years with a 40% increase in the number of residents 65 and older.

“Our Columbus campus will expand South College’s educational impact in a city with a vibrant healthcare sector that has jobs to fill, especially as the population ages,” Teffeteller said. “South College has emphasized adding campuses to cities with a demonstrated need for healthcare graduates, and we are committed to providing students with the tools they need to succeed in high-demand fields. We also look forward to building strong connections within the Columbus community as we establish and expand our campus.”

Pending all required approvals, initial offerings at South College Columbus include Associate of Science programs in Health Science, Health Science (Pre-Nursing), Health Science (Pre-Pharmacy), Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiography, and Surgical Technology.

Additional programs planned for the Columbus campus, following receipt of all required approvals, include those in Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, and Medical Assisting. Bachelor’s degree programs also are planned.

“The addition of our Columbus campus extends South College’s reach to more students who want to receive a high-quality education and pursue professional opportunities in healthcare,” South College Chancellor Steve South said. “We intentionally offer academic programs and concentrations in growing fields so that students can work toward entry to the workforce. We are committed to helping our students reach their goals.”

South College students can expect comprehensive support services, including academic advising, career counseling and access to faculty and staff who are dedicated to student success.

With a focus on healthcare tracks and experiential learning in modern laboratories, South College Columbus can provide a top-notch education for students in the central Ohio region.

South College Columbus is located at 5525 Parkcenter Circle in Dublin, Ohio.
