TN Fireplace & Chimney Recognized as Small Business Excellence Recipient at Pinnacle Business Awards

The Knoxville Chamber is pleased to announce TN Fireplace & Chimney as the recipient of the Pinnacle Business Award in the Small Business Excellence category. TN Fireplace and Chimney is a full-service chimney contractor specializing in noninvasive fireplace change outs and remodeling. The Small Business Excellence Award, sponsored by Allcor Staffing, is presented to an East Tennessee small business, employing 50 or less, that has consistently grown its workforce and revenue.

“Receiving this award is one of the proudest moments for us as a company,” said Joshua Cate, founder and CEO of TN Fireplace and Chimney. “Being associated with the history and prestige of such an honor is something that we will always celebrate and cherish. Being recognized for our great team and culture is truly one of the greatest accomplishments.”

Beginning as a two-man-one-truck operation in 2008, TN Fireplace and Chimney really found its voice in 2017 when they began evaluating ways to innovate within the market. The first of its kind to incorporate video inspections, the first to digitize its operations, and the first to do retro change out of fireplaces, TN Fireplace’s expertise quickly stood out. Since their mission change, the company has seen a nearly two-thousand percent increase in sales. Cate attributes this success to their culture. When asked about his proudest moments, he reflects on his employees hitting lifestyle milestones including buying their first homes.

The annual Pinnacle Business Awards, presented by UScellular, celebrate regional business excellence, honoring outstanding professionals in nine categories for their contributions to the greater Knoxville economy.
