Corryton, TN- Tim S. Brown, a healthcare consultant and former Chief Administrator of the Claiborne County Hospital, has been appointed by Mayor Glenn Jacobs to serve a four-year term on the Board of Commissioners of the Northeast Knox Utility District.

General Manager of Northeast Knox Gregg Morgan said of this appointment, “ All of us at Northeast Knox are very pleased to have Tim Brown back on our Board. He served us well a few years ago and is very knowledgeable of our industry and specifically of our utility. There will be no learning curve for Tim and in these difficult times, that’s a big plus.”

According to Brown, “I truly appreciate the appointment by Mayor Jacobs and am excited about serving another term with the Northeast Utility Board of Commissioners. NEKUD is a well-run utility and serves our area of the county really well with reasonable rates and great service.”

The Northeast Knox Utility provides water for about 23,000 residents living in the Corryton area. It was established in 1959 and obtains its water supply from the Holston River. Other members serving on the Board are Ann Acuff and Joe Longmire.
