Late ICC International CEO Laura Lyke is First Posthumous Inductee to 2023 Women in Manufacturing Hall of Fame

ICC International announces today that its late President and CEO Laura Lyke has been named one of 10 outstanding industry leaders who will comprise the 2023 class of the Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Hall of Fame.

WiM recognizes trailblazing women who have made significant and lasting contributions to the manufacturing industry, with emphasis on supporting, promoting and contributing to the advancement of other women. Lyke is the first posthumous Hall of Fame inductee, signifying industrywide peer recognition of her legacy.

During her 20-year tenure as ICC President and CEO, Lyke noted, “It never occurred to me that I could or could not do something because I’m a woman.” Her husband Shawn, who succeeded her in both roles, says, “Laura felt that her most important job was showing our daughters how to be strong women who could achieve anything with hard work, passion and kindness. This prestigious award truly recognizes her ideals. She would have been so honored and proud to receive it.” 

Further, ICC CFO and General Manager Tracy Queen reflects on Laura’s point of view on being a female in the male-dominated manufacturing industry: “Laura would often say, ‘We have 20 seconds of shock value, then we have to show we deserve a seat at the table or even be in the room.’”
