Today, the Knoxville Chamber released the Back to Work resource webpage that is designed to aid East Tennesseans in finding a job before federal unemployment benefits end.

“In less than a month, the supplemental income that unemployed individuals are receiving will end,” said Lauren Longmire, director of regional enhancement for the Knoxville Chamber. “The hiring process takes time. To prevent a lapse in income, job seekers should begin their search immediately. Waiting until the deadline could be devastating for those that get caught without a paycheck.”

The microsite at www.knoxvillechamber.com/backtowork contains information about local job fairs and hiring events, as well as other services to assist individuals seeking to return to the workforce.
