Hopewell Helping Hands Recognized as Minority-Owned Business Excellence Recipient at Pinnacle Business Awards

The Knoxville Chamber is pleased to announce Hopewell Helping Hands as the recipient of the Pinnacle Business Award in the Minority-Owned Business Excellence category. Hopewell Helping Hands is a general labor provider offering pressure washing, lawn care, painting, and minor repair services. The Minority-Owned Business Excellence Award, sponsored by Accenture, is presented to an outstanding East Tennessee minority-owned business.

“From community liability to servant leader, Hopewell Helping Hands is giving our community HOPE and we do it WELL!” said Reico Hopewell, founder. “My expectation for winning this award is to show the community that people can recover from substance use disorders. I want to encourage people to give others a chance.”

Hopewell Helping Hands was created for individuals participating in the Mend House program to gain employment. The Mend House is a structured sober living community that serves men who are making a transition back into society. A vital aspect to that transition is employment. Hopewell Helping Hands was started to offer Mend House residents an opportunity to gain employment and support agencies and individuals within the Knoxville community who needed handyman services for their homes or offices.

The annual Pinnacle Business Awards, presented by UScellular, celebrate regional business excellence, honoring outstanding professionals in nine categories for their contributions to the greater Knoxville economy. Winners are selected by the Knoxville Chamber Board of Directors. Over 100 companies were nominated for 2022 recognition.
