Hogs For The Cause Donates $1 Million to Update Hemonc Clinic at Children’s Hospital
Hogs for the Cause has generously donated $1 million to update Children’s Hospital’s HEMONC clinic. The clinic will be called Hogs for the Cause Hematology Oncology Center at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.
Hogs for the Cause is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides assistance to families with children battling brain cancer by engaging the community through barbecue culture. Since 2009, they’ve given $2.9 million in direct grants to families battling pediatric cancer and an additional
$12.1 million to hospital programs and charities nationwide.

Hogs for the Cause is supported by charitable organizations from around the country. On Friday, September 26, Smokin’ for a Cause Knoxville, a local organization and Hogs for the Cause team known as March of the Pigs, is hosting its 7th annual golf tournament at Dead Horse Lake Golf Club, with proceeds benefitting Hogs. In addition, on Saturday, September 27, Smokin’ for a Cause is raising funds while participating in the Myron Mixon BBQ Co. Smoke- Off from 11 AM – 6 PM.
