The Knoxville Chamber is pleased to announce Grow – A Shane Archer Concept as the recipient of the Pinnacle Business Award in the Impact category. Grow – A Shane Archer Concept, is a full-service hair salon that also carries dermatology-grade makeup and skin care products. The Impact Award, sponsored by Pinnacle Financial Partners, is presented to a non-charitable business that displays a commitment to making East Tennessee a better place to live through the development and support of a community project or program.

“When I was trying to name our business and direct our brand, it all came down to the word grow,” said Shane Archer, Grow owner. “Not only grow the team, grow the community, grow the culture, but also give back to the community that supports us. You have to make time for community engagement.  As a business owner it is so easy to get wrapped up in the day-to-day tasks, but nothing feels better than giving back. It is humbling to be recognized in this category alongside previous award recipients. It reminds me that I have the ability to push further and reach more people.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this recognition.  I am excited to see what our ‘Grow Gives Back’ program has in store for the future.”

As the owner of Grow, Archer blends a world-class resume with his unique, fresh perspective on hair design. Shane’s passion for philanthropy has generated over $50,000 in donations and sponsorships over the last four years. These funds have been poured back into the local Knoxville community. Through the “Grow Gives Back” program, the salon has provided financial and volunteer support to a multitude of local organizations including the Office on Aging Senior Companions Program, the Butterfly Fund, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, The Wesley House Community Center, and most recently Habitat for Humanity.

“Corporate social responsibility is of the utmost importance. I hope Shane’s involvement in the community inspires others to do the same,” said Mike Odom, Knoxville Chamber president and CEO. “I am thankful for the contributions being made by companies like Grow that continue to drive regional economic prosperity.”
