Governor Lee, Commissioner Rolfe Announce Fraley And Schilling, Inc. To Expand in Knoxville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Delopment Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Fraley and Schilling, Inc. officials announced today that the trucking company is expanding its operations in Knoxville.

As part of the expansion, Fraley and Schilling will invest $2.4 million and add 50 office jobs over the next five years. Due to growing demand in transportation and logistics, Fraley and Schilling is expanding by adding a new terminal building, which is currently under construction.

The new building will be the largest in the company at approximately 11,600 square feet. Founded in 1955, Fraley and Schilling is a trucking and logistics provider, specializing in lightweight equipment for hauling heavy products. The company has become an industry leader in utilizing lightweight equipment to move essential goods across the United States.

Today, Fraley and Schilling employs 250 people in Tennessee and more than 700 in the U.S., and operates over 500 trucks across the eastern half of the U.S.

Since 2015, TNECD has supported 17 economic development projects in Knox County, accounting for 2,300 job commitments and $300 million in capital investment.
