The Knoxville Chamber is pleased to announce Boldsquare as the recipient of the Pinnacle Business Award in the Small Business Excellence category. Boldsquare develops customized strategic plans that enable organizations to drive the change that matters most to them. The Small Business Excellence Award, sponsored by Allcor Staffing, is presented to an East Tennessee small business, employing 50 or less, that has consistently grown its workforce and revenue.

“We’re a marketing and communications company at our core. But what we really do is focus on influencing audiences of our clients to do the things that they want them to do,” said Boldsquare managing partner Dylan Jones. “So how do we get customers from where they are today to where our clients want them to be? We must really understand who the audiences are and what they care most about.”

Boldsquare has more than doubled their revenue growth in the four years, added fourteen employees, and has been named on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies for the last two years. Unlike some agencies that predominantly offer one type of service such as public relations or advertising, Boldsquare is truly full service.

“The Boldsquare team brought services that you might only traditionally find in larger metros right here to Knoxville,” said Mike Odom, Knoxville Chamber president and CEO. “It is obvious from their revenue and workforce growth that they are serving their clients well.”

The annual Pinnacle Business Awards, presented by Pinnacle Financial Partners, celebrate regional business excellence, honoring outstanding professionals in nine categories for their contributions to the greater Knoxville economy. Winners are selected by the Knoxville Chamber Board of Directors. Nearly 200 companies were nominated for 2024 recognition.

“Congratulations to all Pinnacle Business Award winners. Local businesses are essential to the communities they help grow,” said Mike DiStefano, Pinnacle’s Knoxville president. “Pinnacle Financial Partners is a founder led firm that was built as a small business bank, so we know how difficult it can be to run a successful business. More than two decades of growth have allowed us to serve clients of increasing size, but small businesses remain essential both to Pinnacle and the Knoxville communities they help grow. It’s an honor to be part of this program and help recognize the home-grown players in Knoxville’s economy.”
