BBBS-ETN Announces Volunteer Recruitment Campaign: “60 Bigs in 60 Days”
Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee (BBBS-ETN) is excited to announce its upcoming volunteer recruitment campaign, “60 Bigs in 60 Days.” The volunteer recruitment campaign will aim to recruit people in Knox, Anderson, Blount, and Sevier Counties to apply to become mentors to the youth that are waiting to be matched with a “Big” throughout their service area. The campaign will launch on Tuesday, February 28th, and conclude on Friday, April 28th, 2023.
During the campaign, BBBS-ETN will host speaking engagements at local organizations and businesses, hold public events, premier its new billboard, and provide yard signs to partner businesses.
Throughout “60 Bigs in 60 Days,” BBBS-ETN will be holding events where community members hear from current Bigs and staff members about becoming a mentor to one of the youth on our waiting list.
On Saturday, March 18th, BBBS-ETN will host “Bigs and Beers” at Barley’s Taproom and Pizzeria from 6 until 8pm. There will be pizza, giveaways, and a current mentor to speak. Additionally, on Friday, March 31st from 6 until 8pm, BBBS-ETN is partnering with The Bottom Knoxville for “Bigs, Bass, and Books,” where we will have tea, music, giveaways, and a current mentor to share their experience.
