The Knoxville Chamber is pleased to announce Avèro Advisors as the recipient of the Pinnacle Business Award in the Minority-Owned Business Excellence category. Avèro helps government agencies build smarter communities that empower their citizens and enrich lives. The Minority-Owned Business Excellence Award, sponsored by Accenture, is presented to an outstanding East Tennessee minority-owned business.

“We provide ERP consulting, business process mapping, sourcing software and contractors, and reengineering business processes for efficiency,” said Avèro Advisors founder and CEO Abhijit “AV” Verekar. “There are not a lot of companies that do what we do nationally. Our differentiating factor is that we’re not a commodity sales organization. It all comes down to relationships and caring for the person across the table or across the contract. If we don’t care about our clients, then we should not be in business.”

Avèro’s services are crafted to meet the unique needs of the public sector, blending innovative solutions with a deep understanding of governmental processes and challenges. They leverage cutting-edge technology and strategic insights to help local governments streamline operations, enhance public services, and engage more effectively with their communities.

“AV is just the kind of innovative entrepreneur that we need to transition our area economy to prepare for the next industrial revolution,” said Mike Odom, Knoxville Chamber president and CEO. “We are thankful for his contributions to our board of directors and that he chose East Tennessee for Avèro’s home.”

The annual Pinnacle Business Awards, presented by Pinnacle Financial Partners, celebrate regional business excellence, honoring outstanding professionals in nine categories for their contributions to the greater Knoxville economy. Winners are selected by the Knoxville Chamber Board of Directors. Nearly 200 companies were nominated for 2024 recognition.

“Congratulations to all Pinnacle Business Award winners. Local businesses are essential to the communities they help grow,” said Mike DiStefano, Pinnacle’s Knoxville president. “Pinnacle Financial Partners is a founder led firm that was built as a small business bank, so we know how difficult it can be to run a successful business. More than two decades of growth have allowed us to serve clients of increasing size, but small businesses remain essential both to Pinnacle and the Knoxville communities they help grow. It’s an honor to be part of this program and help recognize the home-grown players in Knoxville’s economy.”
