Johnson Architecture has been named to the inaugural 2025 Forbes America’s Best-in-State Residential Architects list.

The full-service architecture and interior design firm is among just ten architectural firms in Tennessee that made the list and one of only 400 recognized across the United States out of 20,000 evaluated.

“It’s always rewarding to realize a client’s distinct vision for their home and bring it to fruition,” said Daryl Johnson, founder and president of Johnson Architecture. “So, it’s especially gratifying to be recognized by Forbes for our residential design and named among the nation’s most prestigious residential architects. I congratulate our entire team.”

According to Forbes list methodology, the recognition highlights, “designers of single-family houses whose work stands apart for its excellence in the combined context of high design and distinctly place-based principles and practices of design and construction.”

“We aspire to design homes that look ‘at home’ where they’re built, enhancing the existing landscape and seamlessly tying building materials to the local environment,” Johnson said. “This recognition validates those efforts.”
