Morning Momentum

Not a pitch; a problem.

Morning Momentum is a monthly series designed to help small businesses and entrepreneurs troubleshoot issues that are hindering growth. Presenters have an opportunity to present barriers their company is experiencing and receive immediate feedback from seasoned business community leaders. Each Morning Momentum is designed to propel companies forward, foster mentor relationships, and spur innovation.

What is the format?

Presenters have 8 minutes to share the problem(s) they are currently facing that are preventing them from growing. This is not a pitch.ย Presenters will then be provided with feedback from the audience to address their challenges.

What are the topics?

Beginning in 2025, each Morning Momentum will center around a specific theme. Our current themes for presenters to choose from include:

  • Marketing and promoting your business
  • Business development strategies
  • Building and leading the right team

Who can present?

Any entrepreneur or small business owner that is facing a growth barrier. This is not just for startups; helping existing businesses expand is also a priority. The application for presenters is below. Criteria include:

  • The company must be revenue producing. Profitable is not a requirement.
  • The company should have less than twenty employees.
  • The company should be located in the Knoxville MSA.
