Tranzonic Companies hires Millsaps as director of environmental health and safety

Tranzonic Companies has hired Ronald Millsaps as director of environmental health and safety (EHS) at the national manufacturing firm’s Hardin Valley location.

Millsaps is responsible for creating and coordinating programs that reduce accidents, injuries and losses at the company’s Knoxville locations and for facilities in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio and Nevada.

“Ronald brings a keen eye and so much relevant experience to help keep our people safe by reviewing, updating and creating processes and reducing work hazards,” said Brian Rhoades, executive vice president of operations for Tranzonic. “Wherever there are moving parts, there is a need for professionals like Ronald, and we’re glad to add him to the Tranzonic team.”

Millsaps earned master’s degrees in environmental management from Samford University and safety service and education from University of Tennessee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Tusculum University and an associate degree in industrial security from the Community College of the Air Force. He has held multiple EHS compliance positions, most recently for Hitachi Zosen Inova, a global cleantech company, and earned several industry and business certifications. He is a veteran and has served in both the United States Air Force and the United States Army Reserves.
