Knoxville Chamber to host eighth annual Endeavor Summit on October 19th

The Knoxville Chamber and presenting sponsor Bank of America will once again host the area’s largest gathering of young professionals and emerging leaders from across the region at the 2023 Endeavor Summit, to be held on October 19th at Bridgewater Place.

Since 2016, the Endeavor Summit has served as the Knoxville Chamber’s annual young professional engagement program. Talent attraction and retention are primary focus areas for the organization, and this year’s Summit is focused on increasing young professional engagement through leadership, civic involvement, and community participation.

The leadership breakout session will feature content from Pat Summitt Leadership Group’s Definite Dozen, facilitated by former WNBA All-Star Nicky Anosike. The civic engagement session will feature speakers from Knoxville City Council, Knox County Commission, and the University of Tennessee. Lastly, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from community organizations including Knoxville Area Urban League, YWCA Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley, New2Knox, Legacy Parks, and more.

The Summit’s keynote, Tony Vitello, is the head coach for the Tennessee Volunteers baseball team. Coach Vitello will share insights on leadership, transforming organizational culture, and achieving success at a young age.

Between sessions, Lifetime Products will be giving away door prizes, including paddleboards and corn hole sets, to encourage young professionals to enjoy Knoxville’s outdoor assets. The day’s events culminate in a philanthropic giveaway, where two local nonprofits – Two Bikes and Real Good Foundation – will receive a portion of ticket sales.

Session details along with a full list of speakers are available at EndeavorSummit.com.

2023 Endeavor Summit sponsors include Bank of America, the University of Tennessee, Lifetime Products, KUB, Pilot Company, Axle Logistics, Food City, and Big Slate Media.

“Every year the Endeavor Summit serves as a catalyst for young professionals and emerging leaders in our community,” said Terry Cline, President, Bank of America Knoxville. “Bank of America is proud to support the Knoxville Chamber’s initiative for the fifth year, with the aim of empowering young professionals and emerging leaders to connect, grow, and shape the future of Knoxville.”

“While we are experiencing more growth in the 25-to-54-year-old age demographic than we have in the past, it is still being significantly outpaced by other age groups. A healthy population of young professionals is required for the Knoxville area to advance economically,” said Mike Odom, President and CEO, Knoxville Chamber. “We encourage all local companies to use every tool in the talent retention toolbox to keep these young people here, including opportunities like the Endeavor Summit.”

“Our longstanding commitment to the Endeavor Summit, in partnership with the Knoxville Chamber, is part of our approach to driving economic opportunity in Knoxville,” said Lina Kornmeyer Evans, Market Executive, Bank of America Knoxville. “Our sponsorship acknowledges the significant role the Knoxville Chamber plays in our city, and is another demonstration of our commitment to advancing young and emerging leaders in their career journeys.”
