Andy’s Frozen Custard, the largest dessert-only franchise in the world, will make its official debut in Knoxville with a ribbon cutting and grand opening on Friday, Oct. 27.

Located on Bearden Hill at 6217 Kingston Pike, the first-ever Knoxville location will welcome customers from 11 a.m.-11:30 p.m. and will feature $3 one-topping sundaes on Friday and Saturday to celebrate the extended grand opening. On Saturday, Oct. 28, register to win a year of frozen custard and additional giveaways from 2-4 p.m.

“We are thrilled to make every day in Knoxville a bit sweeter with luxuriously creamy custard,” Andy’s Frozen Custard franchisee Noelle Gass said. “Whether it’s celebrating after a big game or bonding with family, Andy’s Frozen Custard creates an atmosphere of a hometown destination, becoming an integral part of each community where a location resides.”

Serving the “World’s Finest Frozen Custard” since 1986, the ingredients for Andy’s Frozen Custard’s timeless treats remain short and simple: cream, sugar, vanilla extract and a few trade secrets. The result is a custard that is rich, thick, decadent and creamier than regular ice cream. Starting with a luxuriously creamy vanilla and chocolate base, Andy’s Frozen Custard always is made fresh within the hour and offers a wide variety of treats, including concretes, jackhammers, sundaes, floats and malts.

Andy’s Frozen Custard focuses on product quality, customer service and community involvement. With scrumptious success at the Sevierville location, franchisees Tom and Noelle Gass are expanding the franchise from Sevier County into Knox and Blount counties.

“We really want our guests to know us as people, not just business owners, and we want to bring a little sweetness and some big smiles to the community,” Tom Gass said. “Our recipe for success is simple: take care of your customers, employees and product. We’re looking forward to Andy’s Frozen Custard being your favorite treat and new tradition.”

The Gasses will bring Andy’s Frozen Custard locations to Bearden, Cedar Bluff, Pigeon Forge and Maryville, in addition to the existing Sevierville location.

Andy’s Frozen Custard is open from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-11:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on Sundays with extended summer hours. Andy’s Frozen Custard can be found in 15 states and has more than 140 locations with several more under construction.

Andy’s Frozen Custard in Bearden will employ approximately 20-30 employees, depending on the time of year and including seasonal team members.

With a focus on product quality, customer service and community involvement, Andy’s has grown into the nation’s largest frozen custard-only business, with more than 2,000 employees and 110 company-owned and franchised stores across 14 states proudly serving the World’s Finest Frozen Custard.
