DESCRIPTION:Join us in welcoming SoKno Sourdough for a beginner-friendly introduction to sourdough starters. Participants will learn the basics of maintaining a starter\, including feeding\, discard\, and helpful tips and tricks. Guests will also have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the workshop. Each participant will leave with their own jar of sourdough starter\, a small bag of flour to take home\, and a basic loaf recipe to begin their sourdough journey at home!

DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to present Marble Springs Statehood Day 2026! \nThis year\, in commemoration of America250 and the 230th anniversary of Tennessee Statehood we are taking this celebration to the next level! Statehood Day will now consist of two fun filled days. \nFriday May 29th from 12pm – 5pm\, will be Tennessee Field Day for children to explore State history through all aspects. Bring your inner child for hands on Tennessee history. Kids will receive a punch card and win a special prize for visiting all our amazing activities! Partners that will be joining us include\, Ijams Nature Center\, Museum of Cherokee People\, Birthplace of Country Music Museum\, National Parks Service\, Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame\, and more to be announced! Stay tuned for a sneak peak at some of the fun activities that will be available. \nSaturday May 30th from 10am – 4pm\, we will continue with our normal Statehood Day activities! This day will be filled with demonstrations\, guest lectures\, music\, dancing\, food\, and more. Explore Tennessee history though classic foods\, line dancing\, and Tennessee classics. Be sure not to miss out on fun from partners like The Beck Cultural Exchange Center\, Knox Makers\, Smoky Mountain Quilting Guild\, East Tennessee Historical Society\, Tipton Haynes State Historic Site\, and even more!\nBoth of these events are FREE to the public. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, March 28th\, from 10 am to 4 pm for our Fall Frolic Craft Fair at Marble Springs State Historic Site! \nEnjoy a day of spring festivities with local craft vendors\, cabin-to-cabin crafts\, and a easter egg hunt! There will be something for everyone\, from unique crafts to fun family activities\, all around a blossoming Marble Springs. \nVendors range from hand poured candles to jewelry to baked goods to pottery and everything in between. If you are looking for a way to get the kids involved be sure to let them know easter eggs will be hidden all around the site. The eggs can contain candy\, stickers\, and even some prizes. We will have two crafts available. Help us decorate our garden by painting some garden stones or make yourself the prettiest flower crown with pipe cleaners. This day will be sure to get you into the Spring spirit. \nAdmission is FREE\, and we’ll have more exciting announcements as the event gets closer.

Bring an old project that needs fixing up or come empty handed ready to learn some beginner sewing skills. \nThe program will be held at our pavilion\, beginning with a short talk to interpret the historic necessity of the skill of mending and trace it to a modern practicality. Discover how beginner sewing practices can be a useful skill even in the modern age.\nAfter the lecture participants will have the opportunity to work on individual projects. The participants mending will work on their projects with help from an instructor. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MENDING PROJECT.
