DESCRIPTION:Come learn about the game fish of the French Broad River and the basics of ethical fishing at Seven Islands. Participants will first learn how to ID common game fish species\, then we will learn common fishing knots\, how to properly cast\, and other ins-and-out of how to use a fishing rod and reel. Once participants know how to use a rod and reel\, we will go over what lures or bait to use\, how to properly sight the water\, and what you do when you catch your first fish. Most importantly\, we’ll learn how to properly handle fish and how to respect the waters they inhabit while also engaging in an exciting form of recreation. Finally\, we’ll all go take a walk to the river to make some casts and maybe catch something!

Please meet at the Bluebird Barn at 9:30 AM. Be prepared to walk approximately 2 miles\, including a stop near the river to observe mussel habitat. You will have the option to search in the river for these elusive creatures\, if you don’t mind getting your feet wet. DESCRIPTION:Visual Art/Music/Theater/Opera \nFour Knoxville arts organizations invite you to join a thoughtful discussion on the topic of Changing Tides: Censorship in the Arts. A panel discussion comprised of leaders in Knoxville’s arts community\, representing the Knoxville Museum of Art\, the Knoxville Opera\, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra\, and the Clarence Brown Theatre\, will explore the commonalities and unique approaches these organizations face in the changing climate of social and artistic censorship. Steven Matijcio\, David L.
