VOLunteer Opportunities

VOLunteer Opportunities:

There's no place quite like Knoxville, Tennessee when it comes to volunteering. After all, that's why we're called the Tennessee Volunteers! On this page, you can find information about workforce and education volunteer opportunities here in our area. This is a great way to support your local community and give back to Knoxville.

This page is updated frequently with organizations in need of volunteers, so visit often.

  • First Robotics Competition: FIRST Robotics is a global technology and engineering competition for high school students that emphasizes science, innovation, and design, and inspires students to think about science and technology. To ensure the event runs smoothly, the competition is looking for volunteers. Visit here for additional information.

  • Knox County Schools: This site connects volunteers with Knox County's educators, and can even be narrowed down by school, grade level, and subject.

  • L&N STEM Academy - Brown Bag Lunches: The L&N STEM Academy hosts a Brown Bag Lunch every week, during which STEM professionals have the opportunity to introduce themselves, their careers, their experiences, and how they got into the career, all for the L&N students. If you are a STEM professional who would like to volunteer to present at the academy, please contact Mark Smith.
