KNOXVILLE, Tenn., February 1, 2017 – The University of Tennessee Athletics Department and First Tennessee, the Official Bank of the VOLS, held a short cycle contest to select an iconic throwback debit card design in January 2017. Fans voted online for one of three vintage designs among the most iconic logos in Big Orange history. During the voting period a total of 3,123 were cast, with the Star Vols logo receiving 2,005 votes (64%). The winning design is the Star Vols logo which will be available for First Tennessee debit card holders effective February 4, 2017 at First Tennessee Financial Centers or at www.ftb.com/goteam.
First Tennessee is the exclusive sponsor of National Signing Day 2017 and will host a celebration event for the UT football program at the Tennessee Theatre on February 1 at 6:30 p.m. Representatives from First Tennessee will be on site at the event to consult with customers on how to obtain the new vintage throwback debit card design. In addition to the new debit card design, First Tennessee offers a variety of team-themed debit cards for fans of numerous other sports across the state of Tennessee.
