2011 Pinnacle Award Finalists Announced
Today, the Knoxville Chamber announced the finalists for the 2011 Pinnacle Business Awards presented by BB&T. The Awards recognize companies and individuals that have excelled in business. Winners will be announced at the Pinnacle Awards gala on May 6, 2011 at the Knoxville Convention Center. The event is an opportunity to celebrate business in general and the achievement of the selected winners.
Awards will be presented in nine categories. Finalists are announced in eight of those categories; the winner of the James A. Haslam, II Chairman's Leadership Award is announced at the awards ceremony. Finalists are:
Impact Award: Covenant Health, Home Federal Bank, Prestige Cleaners
Innovator Award: PerfectServe, Purely Enterprises, LLC, TrakLoc Corporation
Minority-Owned Business Excellence Award: HME Inc., Lalka Tax Service, LLC,Lonnie Jones Allstate Agency
Woman-Owned Business Excellence Award: Corporate Quarters, Inc., Scientific Sales. Inc., The Tomato Head
Small Business Excellence Award: Claris Networks, LLC, RIVR Media Enterprises, LLC, Sword & Shield Enterprise Security, Inc.
Business Excellence (Mid-Size Company) Award: Gallaher & Associates, Inc., Pershing Yoakley & Associates, Power Systems, Inc.
Business Excellence (Large Company) Award: Aqua-Chem, DeRoyal Industries, Inc., Oak Ridge National Laboratory
Young Entrepreneur Award: Parker Frost, Gigmark; Joseph Nother, Designsensory; Brian Winter, Pyxl, Inc.
The seventh annual Pinnacle Business Awards gala, presented by BB&T, will begin with a reception and silent auction at 6:00 p.m., followed by the dinner and awards at 8:00 p.m. The gala has become the Knoxville business community's premier social gathering. Over 600 businesspeople attended last year's gala.
