Manufacturing leaders have numerous opportunities to attend classes, seminars, and workshops and learn from the experts. The Manufacturer’s Roundtable offers manufacturers from across the region the opportunity to learn from each other. The casual open-dialogue format has been purposefully chosen in an effort to allow members the chance to compare notes, andshare experiences gained from many years on the factory floor. Member companies take turns deciding the topic of the month and facilitating the meeting.
Discussions cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Leadership Development
- Total Productive Maintenance
- Sustainability and Growth
- Culture and Time Management
- Workforce Development
- Continuous Improvement
- Supply Chain Management
- Team Building: concepts, communication, and motivation
"The Manufacturer's Roundtable is an innovative group of key industry leaders that we plan to continue to develop over time. The roundtable comes from numerous manufacturing backgrounds, but our conversations revolve around those practices that we all have in common. Our group’s goal is to benchmark, and through the sharing of best practices, raise the level of performance for our businesses. Teamwork and problem solving are our focus – collaborative efforts like these will help keep us profitable and keep industry and jobs in the Knoxville region." --Kimberly Williamson, Manufacturer's Roundtable Advisory Board Chair
The Manufacturer’s Roundtable meets at various locations during the last Tuesday of each month at 8:00 a.m. To learn more about the roundtable, contact Patrice Collins at 865-246-2646, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
