KNOXVILLE, TN (April 24, 2017) — Associates of the Keller Williams Bearden Market Center, located at 5616 Kingston Pike, will honor local veterans during RED Day, Keller Williams Realty’s annual day of service. RED Day represents Renew, Energize and Donate and will take place on Thursday, May 11, 2017, 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Veterans Cemetery located on the corner of Lyons View Pike and Northshore Drive. RED Day is an initiative dedicated to celebrating Keller Williams' year-round commitment to improving our local communities.
Keller Williams Bearden Market Center has been committed to veterans and their families since 2011 by cleaning over 5,500 headstones at the Veterans Cemetery. “We are not just cleaning headstones, we are showing our appreciation and respect to our veterans for their service and dedication and their family’s losses. We are honored to have veterans and their families join us on RED Day to share their stories and enjoy a free lunch. Local Honor Guards will be on hand to share their ceremonial 21 gun salute, American flag folding and Taps in tribute to our fallen soldiers.”, said Mary Campbell local RED Day Chair for Keller Williams.
“Simple acts of gratitude can make up for a lack of appreciation or recognition during the veteran’s lifetime, especially for those veterans who were never welcomed home or thanked for their service. Keller Williams’ RED Day is our way of thanking our lost soldiers and their families., said Ms. Campbell.
Each year, on the second Thursday in May, tens of thousands of Keller Williams associates around the country participate in a wide range of projects, devoting their time to renewing and energizing aspects of the neighborhoods in which they serve. Projects are chosen by each individual market center based on a need they see within its community. Recognizing her leadership in guiding the culture of our company, RED Day is held in honor of Mo Anderson, Vice Chairman of the Board, Keller Williams. It's an entrenched part of our culture and displays the extraordinary effect a company can have when individuals come together to work as a team for the greater good of everyone.
Local RED Day sponsors are: Home Depot, Concord Title, Mortgage Investors Group, HWA Home Warranty, State Farm, Bentley and Associates, Mike Baker Insurance and MasterDry
“Whether it’s serving each other, serving our communities or serving our planet, a culture of doing more than just selling real estate defines us as a company, “ said J Lewis, Teamleader of Keller Williams Knoxville - West Market Center.
