Existing Industry
|
Existing Industry Program The Chamber's Existing Industry Program - part of its economic development department - consults with businesses in the Knoxville area helping them identify ways to grow and expand. The Program specifically helps businesses take advantage of Empowerment Zone tax incentives, identify low interest loans and grants, maximize utility savings, access workforce training programs and contact other business consultants. Established by the Chamber as a retention tool, the Existing Industry Program was created to make resources available to area businesses to support their growth in the East Tennessee region. The Program annually consults with more than 200 businesses. For more information or to refer a business for a visit contact Charley Gray. Authorized users may visit the BREP database by clicking here. Mining & Matching Program The Chamber also brings the recourses of area experts - especially from the University of Tennessee and the Oak Ridge National Lab - to bear on problems businesses face through its Mining & Matching Program. Run by Sam Hart, a former Department of Energy employee, the program has tremendous contacts with the talented scientists, professors and manufacturing experts in the region.
