My second full day of business meetings in Japan was spent visiting and touring three businesses. Two of the companies had visited Knoxville this past November.
The first company manufactuers precision welding machines and welding screws. They specialize in very small welds and have a very high quality on extremely thin materials.
Next, I met with a company that produces wood and plastic composite materials, mostly for the decking and architecture industry.
Finally, I met with a company that specializes in manufacturing very large and complicated products. This company has expertise in tanks used in both nuclear power plants and for stoorage of nuclear waste. The company was very aware of TVA.
It rained off and on all day, and I’m hoping that the sun will finally shine here tomorrow.
